The Harrison West Condominium is a historic, modern high-rise residential complex completed in 1965 and designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill, better known as SOM architects.  It is set in the South Auditorium District of Portland, Oregon the pedestrian zone designed by Lawrence Halprin.

Galvanized domestic water piping is original and has outlived its usefulness resulting in leaks and inefficient water delivery.  Also, the current system provides no shut-off capability for each dwelling unit.

The re-piping project, although primarily mechanical work, involves extensive architectural coordination, since installing new piping will breach the interior firewalls at 100’s of locations and at all residential units.

In addition to the high-rise tower the project includes 12 free-standing townhouses and the vast underground parking garage.

In conjunction with McBride Architecture.  GSG Group is the project manager and  McKinstry will be the mechanical contractor.
