Santa Barbara on the Connecticut?
Why would anybody consider Santa Barbara design vocabulary for a design competition in New England? Well, let's see: white stucco and deep-set walls; red, clay tile roofs; a prevalence of paved courtyards; bright tilework; a style that is both traditional and modern at the same time; indoor/outdoor living; and something that is not usually mentioned in architectural circles ...charm. Perhaps, this should be a new [inter]national style.
