I was the City project manager on this ten-year long project, bridging two mayors, three commissioners, two Parks directors and the introduction of LEED.  The East Portland Community Center completed in 1998, lacked a much-desired swimming pool.  The proposal drawing I prepared in 1998, in response, was remarkably similar to the final plan shown below.  This is believed to be the first LEED Platinum swimming pool complex in the US.  [In conjunction with SERA Architects, Water Technology, and a complex team of engineers in order to achieve LEED Platinum.  Constructed by Lease Crutcher Lewis and The Pool Company.]
